On a dark paddle (black, navy, dark green) white, yellow and light green work best as a text color. They create enough contrast and are easily legible from a distance. Avoid dark text on a dark background -- that disappears quickly, especially through the holes in the hitting surface.

Can I specify my own Pantone or RAL color for my paddle?

This is the most fundamental choice. Dark colors (black, navy, dark green) give a premium and sleek feel. Light colors (white, cream, light gray) are fresher and photogenic in the sun. Both work well -- it depends on what goes on top.
